Elmer Schwieder (1925–2005) was emeritus professor of sociology at 91ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ State University. With Dorothy Schwieder he wrote Buxton: A Black Utopia in the Heartland (91ÌÒÉ«ÊÓƵ, 2003).
